Overview

openML.org is a platform to organize, run, and compare machine learning experiments.

Two developers of the platform, Joaquin Vanschoren, Eindhoven, and Jan van Rijn, Leiden, who are ML researchers are coming to give a tutorial and a hands-on workshop.

Note: This is not a tutorial on machine learning rather a tutorial and workshop on using the openML platform.

The tutorial and workshop are intended for research students and researchers who are performing extensive experiments involving machine learning.

Instructions

If you wish to participate, then please register (as described below) as space is limited.

Bring a laptop, with Jupyter or JupyterLab installed, and know how to use it.

Wi-Fi access to the internet and the openML.org website is required. You will need an account on eduroam or ConcordiaUniversity networks.

For the hands-on workshop, bring your machine learning problems and datasets, or identify datasets at openML.org that resemble yours.
